This years 6th Annual Easthampton Paint Out was a lot of fun. I set up on a beautiful afternoon (Sunday, September 8) just outside Platterpus Records on Cottage Street. Listening to the Blues all afternoon as they made their way through the open door of the shop made it all the better.
Many people stopped to chat about the painting and the town. An old guy was telling me the names of all the shops that used to be on the street. Funny how some people are drawn to you as you stand there and others pass by like the don’t even see you. I’m happy with the way it turned out as it came together without much struggle.
A couple of awards went my way on Saturday night at the show opening. One for “Best Local Color” and one for “Best Legs” (in the painting, not mine… or maybe?). Ran into some old friends and my neighbors stopped by to see the work as well. Good times.
